It just amazes me to think that you were able to maneuver such a large piece and still have the detail to it.

Length: 5 1/2 feet
All one piece of wood, used roller stands to support overhang
Done on a Hegner 18 inch with spiral blades

Charley, how many blades did you use for that cut?

Great job Charlie. This is one to be proud of. I bet your glad it is over and done.Is it for sale or are you hanging on to it? Bobby
-
Mrsn and Bobby, no it wasn't a sale. I stack cut two and may donate one to a nearby church and the other will probably collect dust against a wall lol.
Gabby, I have no clue how many I went through because I put it off to the side for a while, but I know it was quite a few.
-
Charlie, what kind of spiral blades do you use? I've tried just about all of them and I do 90% of my cuttings with a FD Flatend #1. On the smaller cuts I use a FD 2/0 spiral.
-
I use the flat ended FD's too, #3 and #5
-
That is some super great work Charlie. You have some great talent there. Thank You for sharing.
-
Charlie are you going to finish that neat wolf you started a while back?
The one peaking around the tree. You had down to the eyes done and it was looking really great. I've been looking forward to seeing the completed pattern.

Charlie, that is amazing. How many hours did you put into it?
-
Outstanding work Charlie!

Charlie, every time I look at this piece I almost cry. You did a beautiful job. I think of my mother each time I look at your rendition of the Last Supper. She painted the Lord Supper when I was young and it touched my heart so much I just wanted to keep it forever. Alas it was lost in a storm.. Thank you for bringing such sweet memories with it...
