Guess I will be alone. My surgery has been bumped up to the 14th of April. The biggest pain is all that pre-op silliness. It is 100 miles one way for me and since it is two Drs. there are two pre-ops on two different days. >:(
I got the information packet and their main objective is BRING MONEY!!!
ok I have vented now. Sink full of dirty dishes to deal with, then off to the saw maybe. Thanks for listening ;D

My sympathy Judy, but I'm not sure who will be most disappointed, you or Mike! :D
I've had way too many procedures, and they are never fun and they always have after affects you weren't expecting. Hang in there!
-
I feel for you Judy. I am going thru the same thing. Every time I think we are ready, he wants another test and of course they are booked so have to wait another week or two. Finally got the echo stress test completed and last Tues. and another CT Scan. Was fine but that dye they use sure messes up the plumbing. Have an appointment Mon with the surgeon and like you said, they want a picture ID and copay.

yeah it is the sh*ts but look at it this way. We hopefully will have it all out if the way by the time the grass is ready to mow. With all they put us through, we should come out of it healthy, young, svelt, gorgous and rich.
I'll just be happy if they don't get my false teeth mixed up with someone else's :D
-
Darn Judy, I hate Doctors and hospitals but, if I could come out healthy, young, gorgeous and rich I may have to rethink things. (not) If they get the teeth wrong you could come out looking like this ?? ;D ;D ;D
I hate to tell y'all but we have had to cut grass 3 times already.
-
Judy, We will all be rooting for you! Just remember, We are here for you anytime you need us, just wave your wand, and someone will be here for you!
I have had to cut the lawn four time already this year and will have to cut this weekend. :(

Just remember, Judy, you're loved.

Guess what Judy? Just got home from the Drs and I also will have surgery on the 14th. They provide a hospitality room for the evening before for two of us so don't have to get quite as early for a 5:30 check in.
-
That's pretty nice, Kepy!
Do they also provide 'cocktails' in the hospitality room?
Good Luck with everything and have someone keep us posted!

Kepy. Well thank goodness I will be "sleeping" with somebody :)
I think I will have to provide my own hospitality room.
Good Luck! Don't forget to ask for the warm blankets.

Judy, are you as nervous as I? Am now off alcohol and aspirin so GB, they don't have cocktails. I also received some bad news. Was feeling so good that they could do stints but then informed me that I have 2 more aneurisms. Neither one large enough for surgery but that's where this one started. If that wasn't enough, also found out I have a cyst on my kidney to have checked out. Don't think I want to have any more CT scans as I was feeling fine up to that point.
-
Kep...I am so with you on this one in a way. I ignored subtle signs along the way for years. Then I got 'hit' and had an unexplained seizure and wound up in intensive care for 3 1/2 weeks with all the resultant tubes, masks and sticky pads attached and a Million dollars worth of gear in the room. It took me almost three years and 5 surgeries to get back almost to what I used to be but WITHOUT all the little 'annoyances' that I had.
I know you and Judy and others have those spells where you feel "lower than a snakes belly button in a wagon rut" BUT ....
If they find it, cut it out, patch it up, show you how to avoid it again you are so much the better for it!
I've been there and I know what you are going through. Every dam time they do another test you wonder. "What the hell are they gonna find this time?"
Keep the Faith! If it gets to you and you want a place to let it out send me an email while pounding that keyboard as hard as you like and I WILL respond and 'pat your shoulder', wipe your tears, hold your hand, kick your butt and do whatever it takes to keep you going and somewhat sane!
We are ALL pulling for you and are here for you. Let us/me be a part of your support system!

Yeah I am a little nervous, But at least we get breakfast in bed!!!
I assume as long as we have good insurance, they will find something wrong.
How long will you be in for do you think? I am going to start yelling to get out on Saturday.
-
We are getting closer Judy. Went in for pre-admission yesterday and everything was fine except for my blood pressure. When I was at the Dr's setting this up it was up about 20 points and yesterday was up another 10 points for me. Stopped on the way home and got some medication in the wine dept.
They are planning on me going home the next day.
Am getting the laundry done up and gave the dog a bath before his trip to the kennel.
-
Best wishes Judy, Our prayers go with you. W still have a couple foot of snow but its been real nice of late.
-
Had my final going over today. Everything is set for me to go to a hotel tomorrow night and then walk across the street to the hospital on Thursday morning. You are lucky to get out that soon. They say I will be there until Sunday or Monday. I leave my dog with my son. I don't like that but most kennels won't take one his size. Good Luck and lets compare scars HA!! guess my pole dancing days are over ;D
-
Judy you are guaranteed at least one happy face when you get home, with a tail wagging behind it.
Gone an hour or a day, they are always happy when you get home.
Prayers are with you.

Judy and Kepy, You both will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Judy, what can I say, I would love to see you on that poll again!
My wife wants to know who the painted baby is and what's your dogs name?
