in an electronics accessories catalog that I thought would make an interesting project, be inexpensive and easy to make and be a hit with our friends who always have those damnable 'ear buds' stuck in their heads!
Have fun with it gang....

GB you need to get with a manufacturer or the Shark Tank and get this on the shelves. What a great idea and looks great. What did you make them from?

Those are currently available from many sources. They are made of a semi-flexible plastic material but I thought they would be an easy and quick thing to make for our "wood addicted" friends!
You can find more of that type thing at <WWW.cyberguys.com (http://WWW.cyberguys.com)>
I personally am going to make some from 1/8" plywood and try them out and then maybe do some in thin acrylic in colors for my grandkids!

Okay, I'm dense and will admit it. What are these?

People who use those tiny 'earbud' headphones use these to wrap the cords around so they don't get tangled in their backpacks or pockets.

What are the dimensions of the finished items? May be a nice little dollar item on the table this summer.
-
The only size given is 2 1/4" long so just adjust to your scraps of wood!
I added another view of the 'bone in use' above.

Thanks, GB. I need to get out more.

I have seen one that looked a little like a fish skeleton. The art teacher at my schol showed me, thinking I could do one out of wood. I haven't gotten it done yet.
-
Those have been around for awhile and there are many variations. I made some last year for my family but they where pretty plain. :)
-
Perhaps they could be personalized such as "GB's Buds".
-
Dan...you say "Bud's" around here and you get a round of long necks with red and white labels!
But that was a thought...to personalize them.

Well, that's what they are called, ear buds! And besides, I drink Corona's!
-
I was doing some looking online last night and found another style that can be made from wood. They look like a yo-yo, with a hole in the middle. This type of project might be a good seller.

Practical and functional idea.
Thanks for showing it.
I'll make one because it is badly needed
