Title: DW788

Steve, I was watching the video you made of attaching the magnifying light
to your scroll saw and I noticed that you have some type of bar on the right side running for-to-aft. I was wondering what this is for. I just got my new
Dewalt DW788 via UPS.

That there little item, sailor, is a "JimDandy Easy Lift" mechanism for holding the upper blade arm in place while changing the blade and doing other interesting things like WAXING the cast iron table so the workpiece slides easier!

It is a relatively simple to install 'third party' accessory that runs about $25 and is indispensable for those of us who for whatever reason choose to be 'bottom feeders'.

It is available here....<http://www.jimdandy.com/products.html (http://www.jimdandy.com/products.html)>

[Take a break Steve, I got this one!]

Thanks for the info, I going to order ASAP. Have been using a wood block to hold up while doing fret work.
