Amazing, and I used to feel pretty good at 100 yrds.

100 yards good shooting, 200 yards my max was awesome shooting.  1000 yards, I can barely drive that in a car.

Keep your eyes peeled on Discovery and History channels, they show actual stories about snipers, from time to time. Carlos Hathcock took out a NVA sniper that was hunting him, aimed at the sun glint from his scope and shot right through it. End of sniper! They have taken out insurgents in the middle East at a mile and a half, with a .50 Cal. sniper rifle. Some of the re-creations are pretty graphic so don't watch if you have a weak stomach.
I'll see if I can find any links to this stuff.

Check these statistics out. Top 7 snipers recorded. I would imagine if you wanted to take the time you can locate the videos or at least some of them by searching.
