Finished cutting this yesterday. It's a Bday gift for my wife's brother who lives across the pond in Grampa's land!
1/8" Baltic birch ply w/lemon oil on 1/8" luan backer stained with Minwax Polyshades "Mission Oak". Cut with FD-UR #1 blades.

Great piece...
Is that a good ol' Ozark Bigmouth?

Excellent cutting! I love the look of a wood backer!

Excellent job Mainewoods!! I am going to try the same type of portrait but with a Trout for a couple of buddies for opening day in April. I hope mine comes out at least 1/2 as good as yours. Your brother-in-law will love it i'm sure.

I love the way the backer contrasts with the cutout. Great Job! Thanks for sharing!
