I'm a new member to the forum. I've been scrolling for about 2 years and found Steve's tutorials on You Tube extremely helpful in getting going and getting some kind of understanding of what is possible with the scroll saw.
There's always some new and challenging way to turn good wood into scrap.
But it's fun. And keeps me off the street when I can't be golfing.
Looking forward to picking everyone's brains as I try to expand my horizons.
I live in the frozen North ( Canada for you non-Canucks ) and have a too-long winter to put up with. Scrolling and various other sawdust creating endeavours helps get through that.

Welcome Randy: Down in the saw dust - is a part that just fell - it was cut perfect - and would have fit so well - I stepped off my stool - I heard the crunch - it's a good thing - I was making a bunch....Just a thought

Thanks for the replies. I know I'll have a lot of fun here.
To Vince with his missing part: I can relate. I don't know why when I use a mop sander on the drill press it grabs the little parts and flings them with malicious accuracy across the shop directly into the garbage can, full, of little offcuts.
I rigged up a pickup from my dust collector to hover over the saw table a while ago. I found out that if you don't keep a finger on the little parts as they cut free they go for a ride up the hose. Another lesson learned.
