Title: Wood Facts A Series Saturday
Post by: Dawie on March 05, 2011, 02:50:15 am
Now I would love some of this wood. The below statement was proberbly made by a South African as both diamonds and the wood comes from there.

It was once said, that Pink Ivory wood {Berchemia zeyheri} was rarer than diamonds.

Bought it a while ago at  www.dick.biz
They have all kind of exotic wood and materials.
Bought some cowhorn to.
they also have some great tools.

I bought it to make some earings or ornaments, but still didn't find a good pattern to use it.

Those look like pen blanks Marcel. I have turned several pens from pink ivory. Beautiful wood!
