Hello I am Mexican, and here there are too many idioms and phrases that the rest of the others do not understand.
I feel the same when you use their abbreviations, the most used are:
LOL
LMAO
I wonder what they mean, thanks and regards

LOL = Laugh Out Loud
LMAO = Laugh My A$$ Off
ROFLMAO = Roll On Floor Laughing My A$$ Off
TMI = Too Much Information
TIA = Thanks In Advance

It is also known as a Transient Ischemic Attack in the medical field. 8)

Don't feel bad Franko, all the new text shortcuts leave us "Older" folks confused too. Different parts of the country have idioms that we're not familiar with. Not to mention other countries that share the same language. No offense intended but some of the things they say in Britain or Australia, are a mystery to us here in the USA. Viva America!
