Hey Russ Congratulations on Tony Stewart winning the Nationwide race at Daytona today! I was rooting for Jr, but it was good to see Tony win the forth strait seasons opener!
-
Thanks Dan, I was sitting on the edge of my chair for awhile, but he pulled it off. Trust me I still like and root for Jr too. I just picked Tony after Dale Sr left us. :)

Wow. That was a great race.
What do you guys thing about the two car drafting? It's going to make a very different 500 tomorrow.
-
Its amazing that after racing for 300 miles, Stewart wins by his front spoiler. Looking forward to todays race.
Congratulations Russ.

Stewart has been good at Daytona but never won the Sprint Cup 500. He has dominated the Nationwide Series and even won the Pepsi 400. My sons and I got to be there and watch that win. ;)
@Steve
Since the track has been repaved, and the changes to the cars, the draft has changed to a two car draft now on the super speedways . The long line of cars drafting does not seem to work. So I think it is going to be interesting and I like it. 8)

Yeah it's different from the past but I think I like having to find a dance partner!
I'm curious, Next year they are going with fuel injection, They can't do restrictor plates, so how will they reduce horse power at Daytona and Talladega?
-
Don't know what you guys are on about but it sounds like you are having fun watching other guys race. All I want to say is enjoy yourselves ;)

Hey David, Yes it is stock car racing or NASCAR. I have been a fan of NASCAR since high school. My favorite driver retired about six years ago, so I don't currently have a favorite driver, but I sure have drivers I don't like! For me, It has nothing to do with the car manufacture or the sponsor, it is the drivers!

Well, It was a good race today. Trevor Baine won. Only his second Sprint cup start and and his very first Daytona 500! Lots of excitement and disappointments but overall a good race!
-
Yeah I am disappointed in Tony's finish but this is just the first race. Will have to see how this season goes for him. :)
-
Dan. Who was your favorite driver that retired. Mine, Dale Jarrett. Dave 8)
-
Rusty Wallace.

R.W. Good ol' St. Louis area boy!
Used to watch him on the dirt track down in Jefferson County!
