This cross comes from the spring 2010 issue of scrollsaw woodworking and crafts.
When I cut it I stacked a piece of 1/4" plywood and a piece of 1/2" maple. Originally I did it to save time sanding the maple, I figured I would throw the ply one in the burn box. After I cut it I thought I would spend some time sanding it, but the ply was chiping so I needed to paint it if I wanted to use it. I painted the cross and mounted it to a frame I made, I like the finished result.
Thanks For Looking

Good job. I try to save all my cuts and painting is one way to do it to cover up imperfections. Even if you don't sell it someone will love it as a gift. Nice work. Bobby
