Hello everyone:
I have a small problem.
I'm trying to cut the cube pattern puzzle by Steve.
The problem is that when the cutting blade is deformed by the force that carried out to cut wood, the final piece is cut, but inside is burned or cut is deformed.
the question is: what should I do, how fast I have to work the jig?
I am working with a cutting blade No. 7 in Pine.
Thanks in advance for your help and greetings from Puebla, Mexico

Either you blade is not tight enough or you are pushing the wood too hard.

I would add to these suggestions that you be sure you use tape around the block for lubrication....Gary

I agree with the others. Also makes sure your saw speed is set on high/fast. :)

I think you are probably pushing to hard on the blade. Cutting thick wood is a lot different. If you know your tension is right, then watch the blade when cutting, if it deflects you are pushing to hard. This will also make it burn, because the blade cannot eject the chips fast enough and the blade will generate heat and burn your wood.
