Actually I think your camera did a good job. Take a little time to set the object you are photographing up so that you can view it straight on. A good contrasting background helps along with a good zoom to focus in close. There are tons of other factors which I'm not going to go into here and bore everyone to tears.
The upshot is I was impressed with your work!!!!
