Post by: marmoh on January 20, 2011, 11:24:23 am
Funny what you can do when you put your spiral blade in the right way !!!!!  This is my sisters German Shepherd.

Nice job Marion, GB is right, I took there advice here on stack cutting, it is actually easier cutting two or three stacked (depending on wood thickness), than one thin piece.

GB...yes I stacked..I did use the luan for the outer layers as I just needed the one for my sister.  The other two did come out looking good enough for me to have one too.  Couldn't have done it with out all of the "guidance" I get here.  And yes ...less fuzzies when you blade is correct !!!!!!  (thanks Judy)

Way to go Marion! Did you make the pattern yourself?

Great portrait Marion, putting a scroll saw blade upside down is understandable. Last week I put a new resaw  blade in my bandsaw upside down and couldn't figure out why the wood was burning. The sad part is I've been resawing wood for over 15 years now :)

Yes I did the pattern. ;D..I like using my own pattern as I can "alter" as I go and no one knows !!!  Well I learned my lesson on checking the blades before I insert .... at least I won't broadcast it on here again if I do !! :o

Don't sweat it Marion, I often load a blade backward. Just doesn't cut at all!

Hey Marion, EVERYBODY HAD DONE IT!!!  I don't care how experienced you are, you will occasionally load a blade upside down or backwards.

Great work there Marion. And as Judy said  wrong blade loading happens to us all, just did it this morning and wondered why the wood was so hard to cut, checked the blade and o yes upside down.

Well GB has named me Wrong Way Marion.....I carry this title with PRIDE...I hope someone on this site has enough sense never to say they put a blade in wrong !!!

Oh we have all put the blade in wrong before, I know I have. With more experience you just figure it out quicker.  ;)

I'm not taking it any other way than being "funny".  I will say I may be getting old, but my "ammunition" is still intact !!!
