WOW!!!!

As a former bowler...highest avg. was 185, I find it interesting that the FIRST 900 series occurred in 1997 and since that time the USBC has sanctioned 18 of them prior to this one.
The argument will rage..."Is it the bowlers' skills OR is it the 'equipment' and technology making it easier?"
I have had three occasions where a team mate bowled a 300 game and it is a truly magical experience. By the time a bowler gets to the 10th frame there was not another bowler in the 'house' that would even think about stepping on to the lanes! Everybody stopped to watch.
And like a pitcher throwing a no-hitter, by the 7th frame all the guys on the same lanes hardly say anything to the one throwing the game and NO One mentions the possibility!

I see 3 of the 900 series were from Wisconsin and only a few miles apart, just about everyone I know is on a league and a friend bowled a 300 last month, must be the brats and beer. Pete

I used to bowl in a league for about 3 years a 151 avg. Never saw a 300 bowled. I had a 260-270 or somewhere like that for my best game. I put a string of 7 strikes together 2-8 frames. My father-in-law was there to see it, he said it was fun to watch.

Don't know much about bowling, but that was great. Not easy I think.

As a bowler, I know a 300 is not easy. I can't even imagine a 900. 279 is the closest I have got to 300. Congrats to him.

That damn 7 or 10 pin has given so many of us that 279!!!!
I did it twice and it is a neat experience.
