Made about six of these for Christmas presents & they were a big hit too , made of 1/4" Walnut and of course they were soaked in Lemon over-night and taken out to dry for several days { Pictured here doesn't have a finished coat on it } . I did put several coats of clear spray Lacquer on them , I made 2 more today and they too are soaking in lemon oil .the Lemon oil in my book adds so much luster it un-real what it does to the wood , Any comments are welcome .....I didn't want to forget that this pattern came from Steve Good's web-site ..... :)

I made some of these but I used 1/8th" BB. I made some out of 1/4" but I thought they were too thick. Has anyone else tried 1/8"?
Which one works better for you?

Tom I've also made others that I got the patterns out of ScrollSaw Woodworking & Crafts Magazine and they said to use 1/4" hard woods - but not a heavy grain woods like Oak -which can break easily . Woods like Walnut - Mahogany- Cherry - Maple and also Spanish Cedar .
