Post by: KYCustomScroller on December 17, 2010, 08:34:11 am
I have to ask, do any of you or have any of you ever used 1 of these before? I recon my lady has gotten tired of me saying ( oh honey can you come here & give me a hand holding this )  so i just had the big brown truck deliver this to my door.  I LOVE THAT WOMAN SO MUCH... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Julie wasn't you the 1 that that told me that you use the spiral blades from mike?  the reason that i ask is because after the cutting i have done im finding it tough to cut straight lines & get into tight areas without the blade going into turning so im going to try the spirals thinking that i can cut better but we will see soon.

I pretty much use the spirals for portrait work only.  Judy Hunter uses them for everything.  I, too have a tough time in tight places.  If I am trying to cut a very precise line or a tight corner - I use a flat blade.  I still haven't figured out how she cuts a puzzle with one.  My pieces are too loose for my taste with a spiral.

Judy is the Spiral Queen.

KY, I saw a demo of the Jaw Horse at Home Depot a few months ago.  Much more versatile than I thought it would be.  Great present.

Merry Christmas!

The Jaw Horse is a large, hands free, clamp and saw horse.  Really cool.

I have had the Jaw Horse for about a year now. I work in my shop almost everyday. I have found it to be most useful. I work alone and always need a hand. The holding power is unreal. I make alot with Plywood and is great to hold the board when edgebanding. Home Depot makes a copy. Smaller and Lighter. The jaw Horse is Heavy. But it is a Great tool.
