Title: Aromatic Cedar Finishing?

Hi All,
I am looking for tips on an appropriate finish for aromatic cedar.  I was thinking of using lemon oil and clear finish (I use this for most of my projects). 
I have never used cedar before and was curious if this finish would work for this as well.

Yes, I think it will work but, you won't be able to smell the cedar if that is what you are after. If you just want to protect and keep the color, I would use something that will stop the UV rays from faiding out the red and turning it brown.
