To answer your Q Judy "know idea what rubber wood is".
The guy that buys the cutting boards for The Warehouse told me it is Vietnamese Rubber Wood, ok I said.
It cuts well has a (for me) a funny smell when cut, so I wood not use it for a cutting board, I prefer Oak for that.

Well, alright then :) guess I won't be seeing it at my local lumber yard. But then I am lucky to find baltic birch
