I used part of steves train plan and added a base like Patch did. Makes for a better toy to play with.

Looks very Professional. Do you apply any type of finish to the pieces or any varnish? Just wondering. Danny :+}

Looks like a great gift idea for "name" trains too...Where can I find this pattern??
-
Very nice train. You going to put some color on it or leave it natural? It would look good either way. Thanks for showing us it.

I am going to leave them natural. Painting them would be nice, but it's too hard for me. And there are a lot of train cars. I have to start duplicating the alphabet.

Great looking train! I have been thinking of making that, with my amateur radio call sign. Thanks for sharing.

My wife loved it and said I had to do it too! Oh! I like it too!

Thank you Merlin,
I like the base addition as well..

how thick is your base? i also think it is a good idea. nice job
-
That was a great idea. I really like the base and wheels you added. 8)

that's a very nice train you made there.
how did you made the wheels?
-
I bought the wheels. I'm away from home right now to attatch the website. But I think I paid $.09 per wheels. I also bought the axels instead of cutting dowels. It worked out much easier for me and cost effective too. Remined me on monday for that website.

Like what you have done with it. Thanks for sharing.
