Title: EZ Lift Update
Post by: Crabbyboater on October 22, 2010, 12:49:46 am
I ordered the EZ Lift directly from Jim Dandy after making a number of phone calls with no answer.. not even an answering machine.  I did this because the only other way to order from them was to send an email, and I didn't want to put my Visa info in an email.

I received and installed it, and do like the EZ Lift.  Glad I got it, and I've thrown that block of wood away that I used to use to hold up the arm.

There was a small problem with my order, however, and I made several more calls over a three day period at various times, all with no answer, no machine.  I finally did get an answer, and my small issue was resolved.

I confess that I'm a bit bewildered by this.  How a business can publish two phone numbers and not answer either of them except occasionally, and yet have a fine product that many folks probably want and need.  Anyway, I just wanted to give a heads up for those who might want to order direct.

I am glad things worked out. They must be a small business and not need the sales. Everyone can afford an answering machine. Most phone companies provide it as a service.  8)

I ordered the EZ Lift product from Jim Dandy directly on Friday 10/15. I faxed the order with CC info. on the fax. I called to see if they got the fax, but got no answer. On 10/21 i called again and a lady answered and told me it should have shipped as it was not in her to ship file. If it does not arrive by 10/25, call back and she will re-ship. It arrived on 10/21, I installed it and all is good. Not sure why the business does not have a recording device oo the phone line. I guess like many businesses they do business in spite of themselves.

I would bet they have had a increase in orders since Steve mentioned the product last week, they may be overwhelmed. What a great problem to have in the economy.

I too had to call several times before getting someone to answer.  Actuially, I had called sever times last winter and never did get through so gave it up until not long ago.  Like Crabby, I didn't want to just send my credit card info off to who knows where.

It does seem to be a strange way to run a business but then I have no idea of their situation or motivations.  I'm glad to have the EZ Lift though.  It sure has made things easier.
