I've had my Hegner, Polymax, which I bought used, since 1990 and I've never had a single problem with it. I've cut approx 450 Intarsia projects and still runs like new.

However, I do think it would be hard to justify paying the amount they ask for a new one.  The amount quoted on E Bay is about what you'd pay for a new 22" Hegner, Multimax, which makes the Polymax a very good deal.
