Title: Google Sketchup
Post by: Dawie on October 13, 2010, 10:50:58 am
I collected some wood today and the guy ask if I designed my own patterns, told him I was starting and a novice at that, he is a fulltime cabinet maker and furnisher designer and he recommended google sketch up, it's free and you can make your drawings in 3-d. Thought i would share the info, just downloaded it and will play around with it later on.

Its a cool program, I have a basic workbench file I downloaded from Make Magazine, that opens in Sketchup. I played around, and made some neat stuff on my own, including a layout for my future radio room.

Good to hear that Steven. So now I know where to come to for advice when I need it.
