Hey all, im new to the forum and to scrolling. Coming from Buffalo, Ny you need a hobby during the horrible winter! Heres my first two projects I've completed. The ring bowl is Red Oak & Mahogany, was a project from last months Creative Woodworks Mag. Second is a heart shaped key holder made from pine. This was cut on a band saw (before I got my scroll saw) and lots of hand sanding! The text/hearts are hand engraved from a dremel tool and painted w/ black arcylic paint. Hope you enjoy!

Cool stuff! Is the engraving difficult?
I drew the text in pencil and then used the engraver bit for a dremel, very tedious and takes a while. I then used a cone shaped sander bit to make the text a bit more deep and wide. Takes a while but turned out really nice.
