Title: Name Ornaments

I'm just curious...

For those that made the ornaments, did you use a flat blade or spiral for the name part?

For things like that I always use a flat blade

Janet, I use a flat blade for everything I cut except for portraits. Then I will use a flat blade for as much as I can. I will only use a spiral for those cuts that can't be done with a flat blade.

I am will have cut over 100 of the name ornaments by tonight and I only use flat blades.  The round blades and I do not get along for some reason.

I'm with dgman.  I use spirals only on portraits or on pieces too large to turn under the arm of my saw.

I use flat blades 90% of the time. Spirals only when the flat blade won't work. Looking at the ornaments a flat blade should work well. 8)

I agree totally with Russ.  I have only used flat blaes when cutting the ornaments.
