Many of you have been so kind to me since I joined this forum. Being a newbie in scroll sawing, I have learned a tremendous amount from all of you.
I thought you may want to know something about me. I'm married, in April of 2011, it will be 45 years. Two great adult children and a grandchild in the making. During my professional career, I was in Education, teaching many computer courses (main frames (large scale computers) and PC's). Sorry to say, I had to leave my job in 1995. For the rest of my story, you can read the following two articles. The first one, is where I was written up in our County newspaper. The second one, I made the National scene in the September 2010 issue of "The Spirit" magazine.
Both publishers sent me an electronic copy of their article. I placed them in one of my websites.
The County newspaper article: http://www.woodartbysam.com/ceccola.pdf
The Spirit magazine article: http://www.woodartbysam.com/UncleSam.pdf
Enjoy the read,

Hi Sam, Wow what can I say you have had a raw deal in life but you must be a fighter and with a beaming smile on your face a happy man......you have my respect.....Paul

Wow, Sam. Your story made me cry - and smile. God bless you and Joan. You are so right - your attitude is everything. I have a pin that says attitude that I wear on my right collar. It has been a reminder to me for years to leave the house with the "right attitude". I have never seen it so aptly applied.

God has truly both cursed and blessed you and it seems his BLESSINGS are outrunning the other.
I am honored to know such a gallant and SPECIAL person.
May God continue to shower his BLESSINGS on you!

Hi Sam,
Thanks for sharing your story here. I don't really know what to say other than I have great respect for the way you handle the miss fortune that came your way. We can all take a leaf out of your book and live every day to the full.
God bless you and your family.
