Since my hand is out of commission for now, I have to do this that don't involve sawdust. So right now my plans are to dye my hair, do some paperwork, and fix my shop up a little. I need to set my dremel up again as a drill press... and clean up a little. Am I forgetting anything? I'm just thinking "out loud". ;D

how about wearing surgical glove?

Hey Janet, Is this on your left hand or right hand? are you right handed or left handed?
I'm just concerned about you and Bob. ::)

Get yourself some 'nitrile' gloves and just keep on working!
OR just take a break and chill!

if you do things only with one hand now janet, are you doing half of what your used to, or does it take double the time ?
I always find it hard if my body lets me down, :(

Depending on how painful it is, use some thin cotton gloves first. Then cover them with larger latex or nitrile gloves. I have done that when I had stitches in my hand before. Plus the cotton keeps your hand from sweating. 8)

I dyed my hair this morning one handed. Then I used the other hair dye glove over my injured hand with a rubber band around the wrist so I could shower. Worked really well... except my hand was purple by the time I got out. And a little wet from sweat. ha! I gotta find some other glove for this. What's nitrile?
It's on my right hand and I'm righthanded. LMAO @ dgman! I haven't seen Bob in a while. Sometimes I play hard to get.
It's almost 3:30pm and I'll I've done so far out of my list is dyed my hair. I did clean... but I haven't done the paperwork or work in my shop. I think I'm gonna do the shop stuff now. It's cooled down here (in PA) and the sun is shining.

Good luck Janet.

Janet: "What's nitrile?" 8)
Nitrile gloves are made of synthetic latex. They contain no latex proteins and offer excellent resistance to punctures and tears. Nitrile gloves are three times more puncture resistant than rubber and can be used to offer superior resistance to many types of chemicals.
Unlike other latex gloves, nitrile gloves have low resistance to friction and are very easy to slide on. There are a few other reasons that nitrile gloves are more popular than other latex or vinyl gloves, including a higher degree of flexibility and superior solvent resistance.

Nitrile gloves are WONDERFUL!!! I buy a size smaller than I would. they act like compressioin gloves. I cut the finger tips off of one pair and use them at the computer. My hands work much better when wearing them.
Bad arthruitus in the left and stroke affected right hand. But I am making the sawdust fly !! :D

I hurt my right hand awhile back Janet, it was out of commision for a few weeks. I am right handed and what I realized is I have the coordination of a toddler when using my left hand. Small things can be maddening. Hang in there.

Where do I get these nitrile gloves?
-
I would think most hardware stores have them. They are pretty common. I know Home Depot and Lowes does. 8)

I have seen them on ebay in colors even.
