Put the final finish on these today. Made from Mahogany and Alder. A music box movement plays "Music Box Dancer" and makes the Ballerina turn slowly.
These are for our woodworkers club annual toy drive. They will be given to some deserving young girls for Christmas.

Dan, very nice music boxes, Your club is to be commended, I too make toys for my local hospital's pediatric ward and I have trouble finding good plans for girl toys. Would it be possible for you to tell me where you got the plan or maybe e-mail me a copy as I would really love to make some for my hospital. The girls would love them. Thanks.

Thanks all for your kind words. It was fun making these!
If you decide to make one, make sure you measure the two holes for the movement if you did not use the one specified in the plan. I got mine from Wildwood Designs and did not match the holes in the plan. No problem, just measure before you drill.
