So that means autumn is now official in the northern part of the world. Thought as much, by looking at the trees. But all of you south of the equator enjoy the spring.

Happy autumn. Autumn have many fine days. Look the Indian summer on the ost caost from America and Canada. That is a big dream from me, to see the Indian Summer live. To have a walk in the woods. at home a cup of tea or coffee. Isn't it great?
I also like  to sit in my shop and fired up my stove, look in the garden and make sawdust  :D

The first day of Autumn here is Thursday, September 23rd. That is our youngest sons birthday. We have two things to celebrate tomorrow. I will be glad when it cools off some.
Happy Spring to those in the southern hemisphere.  ; :D

I always thought it was the 21st too but they said on the news it would be the 22nd.  Why Missouri's autumn begins on the 22nd but Florida's is on the 23rd is beyond me.

I do remember back in high school that the day is really only 23 hours and 56 minutes long or something like that.  I guess the calendar isn't as accurate either.  Thinking on it though, wouldn't that make the equinox come earlier rather than later?  And wait...isn't the February 29th we get ever 4 years supposed to make up that difference?  Calendar math gives me a headache!

Like Scarlet said in Gone With the Wind, "I can't think about that now. I'll think about that tomorrow."

The "Weather Man" in Kansas said the fall began at 10:08 PM on the 22nd. That was last night while our News brodcast was on.
As Bret in "Gone With the Wind" said "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn!"

And anyway if it is supposed to be FALL why is the predicted high temp here going to reach 91 deg.???

"What goes up must come down" GB, so the temperature has to increase before it can FALL

It's been in the low 90's the last three days.  Much better in the shop than the 100's.  Cooler in the morning makes it really nice.
