Was it the documentary the 2 French men made?  I own it on DVD. Everytime I watch it I'm amazed at those firefighters climbing the stairs. Rightarm and his comrades are a special breed.

I'll never forget 9-11.  God bless us all.

I don't think I condone burning religious material even if it's not my religion. I mean, what would that accomplish besides more hate?

Just because this pastor and church have a constitutional right to do this does not mean it is a proper act.

1 Cor. 10:23
You say, "I am allowed to do anything"?but not everything is helpful. You say, "I am allowed to do anything"?but not everything is beneficial.

The message of Jesus Christ is LOVE.

John 13:34-35
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. [35] "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

I have no more respect for this act than for burning flags in the streets.

Proverbs 17:12 NIV
Better to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than a fool in his folly.
Proverbs 10:23 NIV
A fool finds pleasure in evil conduct, but a man of understanding delights in wisdom.

My free time Saturday 9/11 will be spent scrolling....

at first, my  thoughts are with all the people who suffered then, and those who still suffer today at the terrible consequences from 9/11
but if burning a book will help them, I don't think so.
maybe it's a to strong comparison, but it made me think about the book burning in 1933 in Berlin Germany.
Finlay this turned out in hate, genocide and a world war.

hate and aggression will only lead to more hate and aggression.

one of the most difficult parts of the Bible is when Jesus tells us to love our enemies.

Luke 6:27-36
[27] "But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
[28] bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
[31] Do to others as you would have them do to you.

I don't know if I can follow this command completly, but when a minister burns a book I wander if he have read vs 31?

I was not on here the 11th, but my thoughts were with those who commemorated the 9/11 tragedy.
Although I am not American I do mean this next sentence from the bottom of my heart "God bless America"

It is a shame that we can't all get along. There always seems to be somebody out there to stir the pot. Book burning! I just can't get over the fact that there are still people in the world that would resort to such behavior. I guess history didn't prove anything to them. I remember right after 9/11, a group of us were putting together a crew to travel to New York to help in the recovery. Thats when the Chief stepped in, and pleaded with us not to go. At the time we were angry, really didn't understand his thinking. But looking back, we were leaving our job short of manpower. The Chief stated, "If you guys go to NY. Who's going to take care of Terre Haute"? He was right. So we took up a collection. Raised over $50,000. The money we raised went to the FDNY widows fund. It made us feel better knowing that we did something to help. Dave

They should do a follow-up film on 9/11.  I'd love to know how the people are doing.  I read the book the owner of Cantor Fitzgerald wrote.  I wonder if they still do a good job with their charity.
