As you might have read in another thread I just received my new clamp for my saw so now I can try out all the new blades I got. As was sawing away I kept on being amazed at how spiral blades work, at first I had trouble using them and now I just stand amazed at how great they are. To me for the moment this is an accessory that amazes me the most.
This made me wonder what amazes others so I started this thread.

David. What amazes me the most about my scrollsaw, is that I can scrollsaw at all. I'm a mechanic/firefighter by trade. I can't drive a nail in a 2x4! Dave 8)

I'm with Dave. It is amazing to take a chunk of wood and make something beautiful out of it. It still amazes me that people want to pay for my chunks of wood. I see the errors and where I strayed off the line, but all they see is the final product and are amazed. They generally think it is lazer cut or something.

The Flying Dutchman blades. It amazes me long they last and how good they cut compared to other brands I have used. 8)

The most amazing accessory that I got for my saw was the 'Deadman/Foot switch' I bought. I can't believe how much easier it is for me to scroll.
The second best was the 'EZ lift' (Well, I made my own) it sure helps when threading the blade from the bottom like I do.
I have a DeWalt saw by the way.

I took a piece of 3/4" plywood, cut to size and "wedge" fit it between my Yeller Saw and the stand. I now have a place to set tools, blades and mount my magnifier/light.
I am amazed that only one other person has mentioned this but Dan used 'C' clamps and mine is cut so it just fits and needs nothing to hold it in place.
Will take pix later today for posting....Played poker last night and this morning until 6 a.m.!
Nap Time!!!

I concur with all the answers. Scrolling is a great hobby and having this website really adds to my enjoyment. Julief you really nailed it about the errors. They scream at you, but most folks don't notice them. I have a piece I just finished and when I was putting the hanger on the back I split the wood. I was so frustrated I wanted to throw it. It is quite small but seems large to me. It is oak, which is strong but splits quite easily, so I should have known better.
I am not sure whether to give it as planned or do another.

The greatest accessory for me has been Steve's Youtube video's. Without them I would have never found out this is something I can do and enjoy.
Thank You Steve,
