Title: Display Boxes
Post by: sp_343 on August 07, 2010, 04:10:42 pm
Just finished these display boxes.  My wife will use them for home shows where she sells her "Scentsy" wickless candles.  The boxes are wired for power and the top box is removable and has a night light that shines in the front.  Made from Pine, I finished it with Danish Oil and the tops are done with Envirotex Lite pour on Hi-Gloss finish.

Hey sp, That display came out great! I'm glad you worked out the electrical.
I would like to see a pic of the display in use with the candles.

That will really show thing off well.  I would be interested in knowing about the product it will display? What is a wickless candle.

What is a wickless candle.

Not sure but, I call them 'light bulbs'.

I found this on the main web site...
What are wickless candles?
A wickless candle, called a Scentsy Bar or a Scentsy Brick, is a highly fragrant wax bar that is warmed to release fragrance into the air. Because the wax is gently warmed rather than burned, it can hold more fragrance oil than a traditional candle. And, because there is no flame, there is no smoke, soot or lead. Scentsy wickless candles are a safer alternative to traditional candles.

How is the wax warmed?
Scentsy's beautiful ceramic warmers house a low-watt light bulb that slowly melts the Scentsy Bar or Scentsy Brick, filling your home with one of more than 80 unique, long-lasting scents.

The combination of a Scentsy Warmer with a Scentsy Bar is known as a Scentsy System.

Makes "Scents" to me!

Very nice work. Also glad your friend helped you out to get the wiring right!

Interesting that 'scrolling' can add so much to another medium!

My wife is a Scentsy consultant also. She has been after me to make her a display for shows. They look really nice, but I am not going to let her see the pics or I will not get rest until something is built.

Nice looking boxes.  Nice to see someone using scrolls in a utilitarian fashion as well.

I was going to make my wife Scentsy box she also "was " a sales woman but get fed up with the changes of recent times. Yours are really nice and the power to the box allows the warmer to be going at the same place the Bars are. Damn nice Job!!!

A good friend of mine is also selling those Scentsy stuff.
I already thought about making some of Sheila's Candle Tray's for the Scentsy thingys - but didn't make it so far yet.
