With Jimbo on holiday, Got me wondering about vacations. I take a few days off here and there. Maybe take off for the weekend to Monterey or Solving. I don't really take much of a vacation. How about you guys. Tell us about you summer vacation.

HA!! Vacation?? what does that mean. I have heard of people actually not working for a few days. Gonna try that as soon as I win the lottery. I retired from the Renaissance thinking I would have more time.....WRONG. But I like the scroll sawing so is that really work?

I personally don't care for vacations.
That being said, I just got back from spending 6 days on vacation in Colorado Springs.
So what is so bad about that? Well, besides my wife we took our daughter, her husband, our son and his wife and five grandchildren!!
Eleven people for breakfast, lunch and dinner and then the decisions on where to go, what to do, and who is running late.
I was a nervious wreck and so glad to get home to 'peace and quiet' that I didn't even turn on the saw for three days!

Hi we had 2 weeks in Turkey weather great as we dont get to much of that in Scotland then we are going to the Lanzarote just of the coast of north Africa for 10days in November and we might get a week in Spain before that all that to get some sun lol. We are often in the Greek islands but with the Euro being down we did not go this year. We have had holiday from Florida to China standing on the great wall was something else seeing the terracotta warriors and the workman ship in them was something to see.

LOL Robin, you leave Scotland to go to the sun. I leave the rain to go to more rain so I can see the mountains and have the peace and quiet of the highlands. I haven't been on holiday since my 1st stroke 5 years ago, but am planning on going to Scotland in the near futher in about 2 years time once I have saved up to enjoy that great country.
Everybody enjoy where ever you are going and for you guys in the south summer will come your way soon again.

my vacation just started yesterday
my wife and children are already 2 weeks on the camping and I'm going there to night.
lets hope the rain will stop.
next fryday we're going to Greece, to the island Samos for 12 day's.

I retired from the Fire Department about 10 years ago. Always on vaction. ::)

I find that Retirement is great except that I never seem to know what day it is without looking at the calendar on my screen!

Vacation? whats that. I'll take a few days off. But more than likely get called in. Ambulance or Fire Truck broke down. I'll be like Russ in a few months. RETIRED!!!!!!!!!!! Dave 8)
