Here is another one of Sue Meys crosses I cut out today. It's 18" tall and I used 1/4" Walnut Ply for the backer.

F.R.O.G. is one of Sue Mey's acronym crosses. She has several beautiful patterns available. www.scrollsawartist.com I have 10 or 12 of her cross patterns and they sell very well.

I am doing my first show with my scroll saw items. I am concerned about pricing. I know somone gave a forumula but couldn't follow it. Julief you said the crosses sell well, If it isn't being a total dork, could you tell me how much each one sells for. That way I can have a general idea oin other things. Thanks :)

If you are refering to Sue Mey's crosses, It depends on the type of wood I use. Her crosses are generally impressive. I always have the Creations, Noah's Ark and Nativity Crosses available but sometimes have others of hes also. I start at $50.00. If I have used a nice piece of Walnut or Mesquite, i go up from there. I have sold them for as much as $125.00. It depends on the type of show. A regular town festival is on the low end. The higher shows (you can generally tell by your booth rental) go for more. I go to one every year where the booth rental is $150.00 for one day. The other venders at that show are pricey so why not me. Have some inexpensive items ($3.00 to $5.00) available, but don't appologize for your prices - wood and time are expensive. The more labor intensive a project is the more it costs. Some of Sue's crosses are time intensive. There is a galery in Georgetown, Texas that sells her crosses for over $300.00. Hope this helps. Good Luck at your show and let us know how it went.
