Title: Tragedy near Six Flags in St. Louis
Post by: GrayBeard on August 05, 2010, 01:41:05 pm
A tractor trailer (bob-tailed...tractor only) blew a tire, swerved and tried to stop. That was rear-ended by a Chevy Blazer and then two school buses full of high school band members rammed into the Blazer. The first bus went completely over the top of the Blazer and was hit from behind by the second bus.
2 dead, 50 injured (mostly minor injuries).
I-44 closed eastbound for several miles.
The two buses were carrying band members from St. James, MO High School on their way to Six Flags for a fun day after 2 weeks of 'band camp'.
Quote from a former band member who was not on the trip. "Please pray for my friends!"

I read that early this morning.  Very sad.  Prayers on the way from our side of the world.
