Title: Image Shack vs. PhotoBucket???
Post by: GrayBeard on August 05, 2010, 11:02:41 am
Anybody tried both?

Comments???

I have a lot of photos (in general) I want to put up and want input as to what site handles things the best.

Is it really necessary to go with the "Paid" version of any site?

Photobucket is free.
I use it on the advice of friends on another wood working web site.
For me who is 'puter ignorent it works just fine once I figured it out with the help of my son-in-law.

For hosting multiple images, Photo Bucket has always been the easiest and best for my purposes. For hosting single images to post on forums or websites or to send them in an email, Image Shack or Image Bam was always the quickest for my purposes and in my opinion. Photo Bucket is quirky and will delete your account with no notice if any of the images are copyrighted or fall in what they determine as not allowed.

I really like flickr.com Free, very easy to load. Owned by yahoo, so also a secure site.

I just loaded picasa in yesterday.  I am so computer illiterate, but so far have been able to do what I need to.
