Title: Red Kite Intarsia
Post by: Claymore on January 24, 2016, 08:42:34 am
Hi,
Here's my latest Intarsia of a Red Kite (I have adapted it from a Kathy Wise Peregrine Pattern to look more like a Kite)
It measures 36" x 15" x 1 1/2" thick made from Oak/Sycamore/Beech and Walnut, used Yellow dye for the feet/beak on Beech. As you may guess its pretty heavy using solid wood and almost wrecked it when trying to sand the back on my belt sander  fortunately i only had to replace the wing tips.

Cheers
Brian
