Title: Honda GL1800 Goldwing Intarsia
Post by: Claymore on July 19, 2015, 01:14:14 pm
Hi,
Here's my latest Intarsia  :)   Its a Honda GL1800 Goldwing and measures 15" x 11" x 1" and made from as usual recycled Beech/Oak and Walnut and finished with Wilco's finest clear gloss lacquer .
I made the pattern from a photograph and although less pieces than the last BMW GS Intarsia (157 instead of 210 pieces) I was probably no easier thanks to the strange angles on the fairing etc .
Hope ya like it
Brian

Thanks everyone 8-)  Its almost 12 months since I got my first scroll saw and I think I am getting the knack of using it at last and its pretty rare I snap a blade nowadays lol I used to get though loads but thanks to you guys giving tips and encouragement things have improved.
I have been experimenting with stacking different woods to get good fits between the pieces.
Cheers
Brian
