Can't open attachments get error message 404, what am I doing wrong?
-
Your not a lone it's been that way for me the last few days!
I'd like to know what the 404 code means also!

See: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findbyerrormessage/a/404error.htm (http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findbyerrormessage/a/404error.htm)
404 means the resource you were trying to load cannot be found. Maybe the image or whatever it is was removed by the author, or one of the forum monitors might have removed it for copyright reasons.

Tried again today still nothing opens, tried pattern requests and brag forum, nothing???

It seems some people can see the posted pics and others can't. For example, some can see the pic attached here http://stevedgood.com/community/index.php?action=post;topic=18446.0;last_msg=168850 (http://stevedgood.com/community/index.php?action=post;topic=18446.0;last_msg=168850) but I get the 404 error.
I wonder if the problem is related to the operating system, the browser, or . . . .
For the record, I am using Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit and the latest version of Firefox (36.0.1).
I have a suspicion that my problem might be related to Firefox. Is anyone using an earlier version and can you see the attached pictures?
Jim
Edit: But I can see the images in this post http://stevedgood.com/community/index.php?topic=18462.0 (http://stevedgood.com/community/index.php?topic=18462.0). Perhaps it has to do with how the picture is attached. In this post there is both the image thumbnail and the link to the larger image.

Just a thought, but have you trued deleting your cookies, sign out, sign back in? I usually do that when I have a problem sometimes it helps sometimes not. I see pictures in both your examples. I use Firefox, latest version.

Deleted cookies and cache, logged out and signed back in but still can't see the image here http://stevedgood.com/community/index.php?topic=18440.0 (http://stevedgood.com/community/index.php?topic=18440.0)
I do remember that I had seen this particular image when it was first posted.
It was worth a try.
