I was wondering if someone could make me a pattern of the emblem of the ship I used to be stationed on. USS Peleliu LHA 5. Also if I could get help in making one of the ship itself.

I switched to another version of the graphic to get better resolution:https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5256/5411801940_2cee2b7c91_b.jpg (https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5256/5411801940_2cee2b7c91_b.jpg). I hope that's OK.
You might want to get some watercolor paint to add a light color wash to the wood. If you do, use alcohol (vodka will work) rather than water to keep from raising the grain on the surface. It will look more like a dye than paint and let the wood grain show through.
If you cut it, cut the characters and other small pieces first, then the outline shapes.
And many thanks for your service to the greatest country on earth.

Very nice pattern EIEIO thanks for your help.

Thank you very much for the pattern. It was an honor and a privilege to serve, and if I could I would do it again.

I know you all are real busy, least I am since I learned how to use my scroll saw, I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on the picture of the ship on how to go about making it into a pattern. She is the last of the Tarawa class LHA's and she is being decommissioned next month. Cannot attend but thought I could make something up for some of my old shipmates. Thank you in advance.

Great pattern Ray, thanks for your help.

see if this will work. Navy ships are all detail - I tried to simplify this enough to be cuttable.
-
that looks great thank you very much.

If you cut them, please post a photo.
