hello everyone, a couple of weeks ago I joined this forum, and one of the first things I posted was a topic asking for help on buying a scroll saw. I would like to thank everyone that replied, I was completely taken aback by the amount of responses. every one of them helped me in my decision. I ended up going with the delta, and boy am I in heaven! Saw came in on Wednesday after being ordered the past Thursday, everything was fine nothing was broken and she runs like a beauty. I could go on and on about all the great things, but I wont. The first pattern i cut out has two eagle heads, I used a #3 blade and backed it with bubinga (probably too fancy). I'll put my old saw next to the new one for comparison. You'll be seeing a lot more posts from me!

Nicely done Matt. I bet the eagles would really pop with a black background. Don't ya just love a good saw :) Keep up the great work. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Congratulations!! Fine looking saw and fine looking scrolling.

thanks

Congrats on your new saw and great job on the first project. Your old Craftsman looks like the first saw I had many years ago. I used it for a couple years before I upgraded to a DW 788. Again, Congrats!!!!

thanks Al, I don't think I would have been able to use it for another year after seeing all the amazing things you could do with a quality saw!

Very good decision by machine also did a great job, looks very well done, congratulations!

I have the same saw. If you don't have one get a foot switch for it.
I got my foot switch at Harbor Freight. (Get the dead man.) Then
cover your off & on switch with clear tape to keep the dust out of it.

thanks everyone, and ALG, i'll have to pay back the saw before I get any more bells and whistles ;)

Matt, take his advice. I have the same saw. If you don't have one get a foot switch for it.

Beg or borrow the money for it. ;)
Once you use a foot switch you will wonder how you do without it. :D
