Well it finally happened. I came home Saturday, after the craft fair, smiling half way down my back.show started at 10:00am at 10:15 a lady came to our table looked once at my beach scene by JGR and said how much. Well I only took it to show it off because I did not really want to or expect to sell it so I said $400.00.( I should have said 500. $&)@&$.) Anyhow she said ok I will take that. we sold a lot of 5.00 to 50.00 items. Later in the day a lady was looking at my key fobs. The type that have the hidden compartment. I told her you can put $ bills or tooth picks inside. She has a sewing group and thought they would be great for storing needles in. I had 6, she took them all at 30.00 each. What a day we had. Now I can buy some supplies😉😉😉😉

Way to go Clyde, congratulations on a great show.

Very happy for you Clyde, congratulations on a great show.

Glad to hear about your success. :D Sounds like you made out like a bandit! ;D
Moreover, I'm interested in seeing and finding out about your "key fobs with a hidden compartment". Can you show a picture of one (maybe you will have to make one if you "sold out". ;) ) Or tell me where you got a pattern or the idea. Sounds like something I would be in to.

PS If you DO have to make more of the key fobs, would you mind spending some time to take a few pictures of the process and posting a tutorial down in the Tips, Tricks and Tutorial section? It would be greatly appreciated by a lot of people on this site I'll bet.

I would second that motion.

Isn't it fun to do the "HAPPY DANCE" all the way home from a show. Never regret a "pulled out of your butt" price :D
But you can always wonder how high she would have gone ;)

Congrats on the sale, and I'd like to see the fob with compartment as well. :)

Thanks for the complements. We are still wondering how to spend all that money! ;) so far we have brainstormed twenty ideas. But in the end it will just disappear. The withdrawl period was short. ;D
Here is the link to where I get my hardware for the fobs. Hope this helps, and I do have pictures, just cannot find them right now.

The hardware is not the hard part and If you are turning them on a lathe, I'm no longer interested.
My brother has turned hundreds of them on the lathe. I thought it was a new design using the scrollsaw.

Congratulations Clyde on a job well done. It is days like this that keep a lot of us scrolling away. Glad to hear of successes. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Roger I am sure there are individuals on here that can cut these with their Scrollsaw, but I'm not that gifted. I do enjoy the lathe but not as much as my Excalibur ;D
