Very nice workBrian

Wow they are lovely!
Regarding your finish do you apply the varnish directly onto the bare wood or do you need to use a sanding sealer first? I'm trying to improve my finishing but so far seems i have a long way to go to match you guys.

They Looks greate, you did an wonderful Job.

Brian,
You did a wonderful job on all three pieces. However, I am especially impressed with the eagle. It takes a lot of commitment and patience to complete a project with a lot of small intricate pieces and you sir have done a remarkable job.

They all look Great! Very nice work, I really like the Raccoon

Brian,
I don't use sand & seal at all. 3 light coats of the & buff between coats with fine steal wool. Fret work I add 1 more step which is a coat of lemon oil before spraying.

aye its a beauty but don't hold ya breath as i'm not the fastest scroller in town but best to take it steady and get it right :)
Cut the foals body/head today from 1" Oak which was fun, the Pegas no5 skip blades i'm using are pretty good.
