This is hot off the scroll saw tonight. The Pattern is called Running Antelope, done by Seyit. It is one from Scroll Saw Village. Most difficult pattern I have tried so far. It is the second of what I hope to be several Native American portraits. It is my first serious attempt with spiral blades. I used a #1 and a #3, Flying Dutchman. I love the spiral blades. Learned they get dull quicker and it is important to keep a sharp one on the saw. I must have gone through 8 blades, two I broke. I have not finished sanding and cleaning fuzzes yet.
Comment and critics welcome.

Wonderful piece!
My kind of subject using my kind of blades.
Now get some 2/0 and 3/0 New Spirals and really enjoy the world of the spiral.
And most importantly STACK cut those pieces for more control, less fuzzies and pieces to sell, give away or donate!

Thank you all for the nice comments.
Bullfighter, just do it. The reason I tried is, I think is was, EIEIO that told me I could do it. He said, "just cut one hole at a time." I think he was correct. I like to do patterns that require a lot of cutting, because I hate the process of gluing the pattern to the wood, taping it and then having to drill all those little holes ::). These patterns that take me a while means I don't have to do it as often, I can spend my time cutting. ;D

Great job Paul. I thought I had some delicate cuts but u beat me out. What size blade did u use on that.

That's some really nice cutting! I like that a lot.

Excellant! I love your choice of wood also.

Holy cow, thanks all for the nice comments! This is really encouraging.
Pete, did you really count them? I didn't but I was curious.
Graybeard, the #3 was really the 3/0 New Spirals, they are great.
Rdatelle, I used #1 and #3/0 spiral blades from Mike's Workshop. I bought some to try them, will have to place another order and stock on them.

Wow that is certainly a piece to be proud of. It is so intricate. I always keep a piece of paper and a pencil next to my drill press and as I'm drilling holes i count usually 20 at a time and make a mark that way when I'm finished I know how many cuts I have made, especially on intricate ones like this.
