Firstly I'd like to thank Grampa (Paul) for his beautiful pattern.
I just stack cut 2 of them and I'm not sure which backer to use the Red or the Black??
They are cut in 4mm Birch ply and finished just with one coat of spray sanding sealer and one coat of celulose lacquer (in a HVLP spray can) I picked up the lacquer at a display stand at a big woodworking show (Yandles in Somerset) it's a new product and as you can see one coat is plenty.

Keith Great job on those. I like both backings but I like the black a bit better. One thing you might try is to put a red backing under the heart only and black with the rest. Keep up the great work. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Yes great cutting/pattern. I also like the idea of red behind the heart. I've made it easy on myself when doing two colors is to tape a piece of red paper to the back of the cutting. That way I don't have to worry about colors lining up. PS I would use gloss red to really pop it out. Whatever your choice they look super. Brian

Keith - A really good cut. :-)
Brian thanks for the idea of using gloss red paper behind the heart. I enjoy reading all of the post as I learn something all the time.

very nice! I also would like to see one with red heart, black background, that should look great.

Love it Keith. I like both of them so what DW suggested would be spot on.

Excellent and wonderful work, both look great, but I personally prefer the red.

Beautiful work Keith. I too like both of them and would have a hard time deciding which one is the best. Great cut and finish job. By the way, where has grandpa (Paul) been? Have not seen him on the forum for a long time.
