Title: Dust Mask a Must for Me
Post by: Toneman on July 18, 2014, 09:50:56 am
Well, I got so tired of wearing my dust mask, especially in this hot Texas weather. I decided to go without it for a while. Big mistake! I developed a sinus infection right away! My right eye felt like it was being pushed out of the socket! I had been using an MSA half face mask with the two filters on either side and I really got too hot, so, I went to Home Depot and bought some 3M wood dust masks that I will have to replace every few days, but, a little cooler. I learned my lesson though, no more sawing without my masks. Mind you, I have one fan beside me and one fan behind me, but, the dust will still find a way in my nose without the masks! Just a little dusty information!LOL

I have several kinds of dust masks, of which, none do I use enough.  But this might be one to look at, especially in hot weather.  I have the one with the filters behind the neck, but the littler one would be fine for scrolling, I would think.  It works well for me because I have a beard.  Seems to me they would be cooler than a face mask.
