I just had a request from my sister for a Lambretta scooter. I've been having a go at a pattern this morning but as usual my impatience got the better of me. ;D Could anyone oblige, please?
I think it only needs to be recognisable as a Lambretta from the 60's, so here's a link to a good photo (http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TGNnLElRtSo/TlDib5g6zRI/AAAAAAAAB14/nx0JYROaAls/s1600/site_10.jpg) to show what I am looking for.
I wonder if it would work as well as a stand alone rather than as a portrait? Although either would do.
Thanks,
Martin.

Wow, I wasn't expecting anything so quickly! Thanks both of you. As they look simple to cut, I think I might do them both on once piece.
Dave, I don't know about a rally, but my sister and her husband have been running northern soul music nights since the 1960/70's, so you can bet they know a lot of old 'mods'.
I was the 'rocker' in the family. :)

My boyfriend had a Lambretta and we went miles on it, ahhhhh those were the days.
Great patterns guys.

Very pretty patterns, thanks for your help guys.

Martin; Here is one I cut from a pattern that Grampa made for me. Dennis

Thanks, Dennis. I know lots of Lambrettas looked the same, but I would bet as much as, oooh, half a biscuit, that Gramp's pattern is from the photo in the link I gave, and which Malistar used. :)
I have cut the one daveo posted and decided to use the Lambretta font and add the name. Posting in the 'Brag' forum in a minute. I'm going to hang on to yours and Malistar's patterns as I suspect I will be getting some more orders for a Lambretta.
Got to do one for a Vespa now! You don't see a scooter for years and then two come along in a row. ;) Patterns welcome - hint, hint.

Martin; ARPOP has a Vespa clock pattern on his site. It is a simple silhouette with a mini clock in the side cover. I have made a couple of them, one in oak with a base. I seem to remember someone posting a good Vespa pattern but I can`t find it. I think it was Mahendra, but I might be wrong. I have also used ARPOP`s pattern cut out of 1/8 plywood omit the clock and painted to make Christmas tree ornaments. Dennis

Thanks Dennis, I'll do some searching on here and check out the one on ARPOP's site. I'm glad you mentioned that place because you reminded me that I was meaning to have a go at making a steam traction engine toy. I saw one on there last time I looked
