Title: I am seeing red.
Post by: Judy Hunter on January 05, 2014, 09:57:59 am
On all the forum pages, there are many words in red with double underline. If my curser moves over them. It brings up an ad.
This happened once before but I forget how to get rid of it

Judy
you have probably recently downloaded a free program or files, and un beknown to you it has installed a small program relating to shopping etc. Go to your control panel and open add/remove programs and have a look for it and uninstall

Judy - if you use Chrome for your browser, you can go to the Customize menu (3 short lines at the upper right corner of the boarder) and select  [Tools][Extensions] to see what has been added to your browser. If you see something you don't recognize, disable it for a week, then delete it. These extensions make Chrome do all kinds of fancy things (like translate to English) or can pick up words that lead to sales sites (as you have now).
