Title: Portrait of my father
Post by: ClayJ on December 26, 2013, 04:37:17 pm
Portraits continue to elude me.  I've fiddled for hours trying to create an image of my father, but I always seem to loose the twinkle in his eye and hint of a grin in this picture.  He comes out looking stodgy and mad.  And that's before I even start trying to make it into a cuttable image.  Could I get a hand here please?

See how this looks to you...He looks kind of tough - we better get it right! :)

I tweaked it just a bit to try to put more smile in it.  It helped some, but I might have to make the smile more obvious.  If anyone else wants to try a pattern, please do.

I think your cutting of the pattern is great, you can see the hint of a smile. Sorta makes you wonder what he was thinking. Good job.
