Title: Shop Vac on Bucket
Post by: Toneman on December 21, 2013, 09:59:48 am
Has anyone tried the shop vac that fits on a 5 gal bucket? I saw them yesterday at Home Depot and my wife suggested trying it on one of my scroll saws. It would not take up much room, but, I am concerned about noise and the motor lasting?

Hey there, I have four of those type vacs.  I have them set up at different tool stations. They are not bad for the money. I bought mine at Lows for 19.95
They do the job. I have them wired so when the machine is turned on the vac goes on, and turns off when machine is off ;) They do the job.

I have a couple of bucket heads.  They come in handy.

They can be a bit noisy but, I have also seen tutorials where other scrollers have
built a small cabinet to place the vacuum in to damper the noise. Still doesn't take up
much space and reduces the noise.
Simple build with just 3 walls, top, bottom, and a hinged front. Could also be mounted on
casters.
God Bless! Spirithorse
